A private four-day journey through the legendary Silk Road cities of Uzbekistan, with high-speed trains connecting Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara. The first day is a Tashkent city tour: Barak-Khan Madrasah and the Tillya Sheikh Mosque in Hast Imam Square, the Library of Eastern Manuscripts with the oldest Quran, the bustle of Chorsu Bazaar, the Monument of Courage, Independence Square and Amir Timur Square. The second day continues by train to Samarkand for the Gur-Emir mausoleum, Registan Square, the Siyab bazaar, the Bibi-Khanym Palace, the Ulugbek Observatory and the Shahi-Zinda complex. The third day moves on to Bukhara for the Kalyan minaret, Chor Minor, Lyabi Hauz, the Ark citadel and the trading domes; the last day returns to Tashkent by train.

The city excursion starts in Old Tashkent: Barak-Khan Madrasah and the Tillya Sheikh Mosque in Hast Imam Square; the Library of Eastern Manuscripts with centuries-old texts, including the oldest Quran written in the 7th century; the vibrant Chorsu Bazaar with lunch in a national restaurant; the Monument of Courage; Independence Square with fountains, statues and the Arch of Good Will; the residence of Romanov, the exiled grandson of the Russian Emperor Nikolai I; the Opera and Ballet theatre; and Amir Timur Square. After breakfast, a modern high-speed train ride to Samarkand (2 hours). The city has more than 2,500 years of history and is known as the precious pearl and face of the earth in the East. The day covers the Gur-Emir mausoleum with the tombs of the Timurid dynasty, whose shape resembles a closed turquoise tulip; Registan Square, which appeared long before the Mongol invasion of the 13th century as a gathering point of craftsmen and merchants, with lunch in a national restaurant; the Siyab bazaar; the 15th-century Bibi-Khanym Palace; the Ulugbek Observatory of the famous astronomer and grandson of Tamerlane; and the Shahi-Zinda architectural complex. After breakfast, the high-speed train to Bukhara (2 hours) and an introduction to the city: the Kalyan minaret, also known as the Tower of Death; Chor Minor (four minarets in Farsi), one of Bukhara's most photographed monuments; the Lyabi Hauz area, a quintessential example of Central Asian urban planning around a pond dating back to the 17th century, with lunch; the Ark citadel, a massive fortress that has been a symbol of power since its origins in the 5th century AD and was destroyed and rebuilt many times; and the trading domes of Bukhara for souvenirs and authentic presents. Check-in at a hotel (Devonbegi, Safia or similar) and free time in the evening.
After breakfast, some more free time in Bukhara, then the high-speed train back to Tashkent (4 hours). Transfer to the city centre upon arrival, hotel check-in (Manor or similar) and the end of the tour.
