The first half explores Almaty, the Charyn canyon and the Kolsay and Kaindy lakes, then crosses into Kyrgyzstan for Karakol, Jeti Oguz, Barskoon, the Skazka canyon, Son Kol, Naryn and Kel Suu, with yurt stays, horseback rides, an eagle hunting session in Ak Sai and a felt carpet demonstration in Kochkor. From Bishkek the group flies to Tashkent, continues to Dushanbe, Iskandarkul, Penjikent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, and finally reaches Turkmenistan for the Darvaza gas crater, Ashgabat and Merv.

Not included: international airfare to Almaty on day 1 and from Ashgabat on day 27, travel and health insurance, the Turkmenistan visa sticker paid in cash at the border, personal expenses and any meals or activities not mentioned in the programme.
